INDOT Takes Bids on US 35 Resurfacing Project

The Indiana Department of Transportation took bids on March 6 for an asphalt resurfacing project on U.S. 35 from one mile north of SR 8 to 0.4 miles north of U.S. 30.  Four bids were received for said project as follows:

  Rieth Riley Construction (LaPorte) $4,204,898.83

  Phend & Brown (Milford) $4,894,484.19

  Walsh & Kelly (South Bend) $4,921,028.73

  E & B Paving (Anderson)         $4,997,871.52

All four bids were below the Engineer's Estimate of $5,979,521.62.

As of this date no final award has been made.

Ron Gifford

 

Ron Gifford has worked for the Foundation as Special Projects Coordinator since 2008 after a law career of 32 years. In addition to his duties for the Foundation, Mr. Gifford serves as Director of the Starke County Initiative for Lifelong Learning (SCILL) and as a Business Advisor for the Indiana Small Business Development Center, serving businesses and entrepreneurs in both Starke and Pulaski Counties.
